Facing Your Fears

“May your choices reflect your hopes and not your F E A R S.”- Nelson Mandela

We all experience fear in some way, shape or form. How much does it control your life?

A common theme I find in therapy sessions with my clients is how fear is holding them back. Fear of leaving a partner- of being alone, of regretting “wasted time” spent, of not finding anyone better.

Fear of quitting an unsatisfying job and taking a risk to follow a passion.

Fear of telling a toxic family member to kick rocks (Or at least putting up some healthy boundaries).

Fear of failure. Fear of disappointing others. Fear of disappointing ourselves. Fear of change. Fear of the unknown.

Fear is inevitable, but it’s a REACTION. The steps you take, despite fear is an ACTION. It’s movement toward your goals, dreams, future and happiness. Pause and think about what fears are holding you back. It might be worth the reflection.#yougotthis
